For as long as we humans have been on this earth the search has been going on for the 'fountain of youth' which of course does not exist... at least not in the form of a single 'wonder' substance or process. Nonetheless, we are now living in an age where we are getting both closer and yet further away from this elusive ideal than at any time in history.

We are closer to the 'fountain of youth' in the respect that scientific knowledge is now so far advanced and the causes of aging so much better understood that it is now possible to take appropriate measures to slow down the aging process! But, on the other hand we are moving further away from it because of modern living which includes lifestyle choices, lack or difficulty of obtaining 'whole' nutritious foods, work and every day stress and environmental pollutants.

The question that you have to ask yourself... can you use current scientific knowledge to not only balance the scales against the negative impacts of everyday living, but better still, tip the scales in favor of genuinely slowing down your aging process? The answer of course is yes... so long as you look at this issue on a wholistic basis. In other words not only take advantage of what science can offer but also do your bit in trying to reduce the harmful aspects of your everyday living that contribute to excessive aging

It's not all that difficult to do (if you have some help which I will tell you about in a moment).

Here are some of the basic fundamentals that you should follow:
  1. Try to avoid refined and processed foods. Replace them with whole unprocessed foods, preferably organic. This means eating out less and taking the time to process your own meals.
  2. Ensure that you only drink pure water... not tap water that has all manner of undesirable chemicals within it. At the very least install a high quality carbon filter. A reverse osmosis unit is excellent.
  3. Try to get some exercise. You don't have to go over the top with this. If you are sedentary most of the time even a brisk 20 minute walk a day will do wonders for you. Doesn't cost you anything. Go to your local park and have a walk. It also helps relieve stress.
  4. If you have damaging lifestyle habits such as smoking or excessive drinking be more aware of what they are doing to your body and try to moderate these.
  5. Always be conscious that when you look in the mirror that what you see is not you, but rather the vehicle which transports you around. Like any vehicle if it is neglected it will break down. Disconnect your mind from your body and consider yourself in this manner and you will find it easier to do what you must do to your body to ensure it doesn't breakdown. Maintain and service it as you would your car.
All that sounds simple enough and I am sure I am not telling you anything new. So, why is it that so many people still don't follow these basic fundamentals! I cannot be certain of the answer but I can speculate a little of what I think the reasons are:
  1. They are to busy trying to earn a living and have good intentions of making these changes soon. But as we all know, tomorrow never comes.
  2. They don't feel good enough to make the effort to get started. They feel tired, worn out, stressed, and just getting through the daily grind is enough of a chore itself without changing a habit which requires more effort.
Of the two speculated reasons above I think that #2 is the most common. After all, most of us don't want to go for a brisk walk in the park if we arrive home feeling tired and stressed out. It's much more appealing to flop down in our favorite chair, put our feet up and relax with a wine or a beer whilst nibbling on a snack. Then pick up the phone and order a meal to be delivered.

So, what do you do to 'break the habit'?

First thing is that you have to get rid of stress and increase your energy levels and feel better within yourself. When this happens it becomes easy to go for that walk in the park and the need to have a drink to help relax goes away. The desire for a snack also goes away and preparing a nutritious healthy meal is no longer a chore!

This is where you can call on science...

The cause of virtually all ailments, loss of energy, and to a large extent stress can be attributed to various nutrient deficiencies. These deficiencies disrupt your metabolic pathways and cause internal confusion and chaos within your body... just like a major accident on a freeway. This translates to lack of energy, a poor sense of wellbeing, stress and lethargy. The deficiencies that cause these feelings may be in any or all of your essential organs including your brain.

No one substance can deal with all the deficiencies in all the organs! For example, your liver has different nutrient requirements than your pancreas or your brain, or your heart. Some cells on the other hand no matter where they are located do have common nutrient needs to keep them healthy.

For example, all cells need an amino acid called L-Carnosine which you may have heard off. It's a more powerful antiaging substance than for example, alpha lipoic acid and acetyl-L-carnitine. You don't hear much about it because it costs about 8 times more than Acetyl L-Carnitine.

Levels of Carnosine in the body drop by almost 65% between the ages of 10 and 70. Extensive published research has established that protein degradation is a major cause of aging and disease and that Carnosine is one of the safest and most effective substances to protect the proteins in your body which is why we use it in Total Balance. But... it is only one of a large number of substances, albeit an important one.

What about the other nutrients?

In order to get the energy and a good sense of wellbeing you also need a broad range of other amino acids, specific botanicals, and natural supplements such as myricetin etc, minerals, vitamins and specific trace elements. The trace elements are very important as carriers of the nutrients to certain parts of the body.

This is why we have developed a blend of special 'sea salts' in Total Balance that contains amongst other things Lithium, Indium, Strontium and Rubidium. These are important carriers of nutrients to the organs, but they are only present in small amounts. Rather than use a 'mixture' of these elements we make up our own using the purest grade forms of each.

These trace elements are only one of the contributing factors to the efficacy of Xtend-Life Total Balance which has now helped thousands of people get 'out of their rut' and start doing the things that they know they should do for vibrant health, energy and move closer towards that elusive 'fountain of youth'.

I really wish I could convey to you more effectively how this product has benefited the lives of our customers, and my family and I. It is being constantly refined and we are determined that it will remain the world's most advanced anti-aging and general health supplement! After all I am seeking the 'fountain of youth' just as much as you are... and what we develop for myself we also make available to you.

In good health,
